The 2016 OPAL Conference theme is mindful transformation. Library staff, responding to internal or external changes, can be transformers in their libraries and on their campuses. Peter Bromberg, who offers an inspiring message that leads people to change their organizations, will be the keynote speaker. The OPAL Conference is an opportunity for you to share transforming practices from any aspect of your library’s operations.
We are soliciting breakout presenters to follow this year’s theme in the following conference tracks that describe your role as a library transformer of:
● Services (cataloging, instruction, circulation, reference, etc.)
● Spaces (building spaces, web spaces, makerspaces, etc.)
● Standards (BIBFRAME, digitization, Framework for Information Literacy, etc.)
● Strategies (decision making, leadership development, outreach, etc.)
